Report: EU agrees on sanctions vs 8 Russians over Kerch Strait

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (PRIME) -- The E.U. has agreed on sanctions against eight Russian citizens over an incident in the Kerch Strait, Bloomberg reported Friday citing a source.

The source did not provide any names, saying that official announcements will be made next week.

He also said the new sanctions will not affect Russian companies.

On November 25, 2018, three vessels of the Ukrainian Navy crossed Russia’s border in the Black Sea and moved towards the Kerch Strait ignoring demands of the Russian authorities to stop. The Russian border guard arrested the ships, the sailors, as well as two officers of the Security Service of Ukraine that were on board.
